Focused Video in under an hour

DNC Chair Tom Perez and DNC Deputy Chair Keith Ellison hosted their 1st #DemocratsLive on Facebook this past week!

You can watch the video here

My words: THIS is exciting! Both of these Democrats are setting such a good example of how to put country over factions. They are also demonstration how different expertise (s) can complement each other: Tom's as one who has worked his way up through the system to manage a critical -- for The People -- national agency; Keith's as a sitting Congressman who knows what's up in the House! It has only been a matter of weeks since the Democratic National Committee Election but I can see where having a full time Chair who does not have to worry about her/his presentation reflecting on elected office is having!

The Party is talking to you. It's a 2-way street so -- communicate!

Focused Thought in 1 minute

A personal thought ~ g.

I am a Massachusetts woman and I am a Democrat and I have been a supporter of every Kennedy who has held federal-level elected office in my state: John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, Joe Kennedy II and, now, Joe Kennedy III, not because of who they are, i.e. money, but because it has been my experience that as public servants they have been, and they are true, as many Democrats have been, and are, to the critical values and the principles of this nation as I interpret them. Further, they seem to have minded their mother who taught them that as a privileged family they were obligated to give back.

Having said that, while viewing Congressman Kennedy's response to the GOP effort to dismantle the Affordable Care Act his resemblance to his grandfather and to Ted Kennedy sent me to check on how the Edward M. Kennedy Institute was coming along where I was quite taken by quotes from the Senator's first three terms which show a much more mature bit of Democratic thinking than I remembered the Senator having early in his career and I combined three of them to become the #StrongerTogether Blog's thought for the day -- today!

It’s a simple but powerful idea: We are stronger together."
