"In case you missed it April 15, 2019: "Speaker Nancy Pelosi Says She Intends to Win 2020 Election for Democrats by this November
Nancy Pelosi said...Democrats intend to recruit candidates who can unseat Republicans in key swing districts around the country, and that her party can win the 2020 election a year in advance.
Pelosi, the California Democrat who’s the Speaker of the House, laid out her plan while speaking to a crowd at the London School of Economics.
“I intend to have this election won by this November, because by a year in advance, that's when people decide they're going to run for office.
We want the message to be clear; we will retain the majority, we will grow the majority and will do so because our candidates are doing their constituent work.
We are, again, owning the ground, drilling down with our message, having the resources to win,” Pelosi said.

We are, again, owning the ground, drilling down with our message, having the resources to win,” Pelosi said.
... “So if you are Republican who might be thinking about running for Congress, you have to look at the strength of the person you want to unseat.
And if you're a member of Congress, and you're a Republican, and you’re deciding that you might be ready for retirement, you may have to remember that it's going to cost you a lot of money to win or to lose.
But if you win, you will be serving in the minority," Pelosi said.

But if you win, you will be serving in the minority," Pelosi said.
Pelosi said Democrats, from old-timers like her to the new far-left wing, had success and should continue that roll.
She said a “glass of water” could win in many districts so long as it had a ‘D’ next to it on the ballot.
The emphasis, she said, will be converting those purple districts to blue rather than red.

“It wasn't in districts like mine, or Alexandria's [Ocasio-Cortez of the Bronx].
(Emphasis is mine.)
However, she's a wonderful member of Congress — I think all of our colleagues will attest,” Pelosi said. “But those are districts that are solidly Democratic, this glass of water would win with a D next to it in those districts — and not to diminish the exuberance and the personality and the rest of Alexandria and the other members, but when I said three, we're talking about three that we're getting a good deal of press on it.
But the 43 districts, we won 43, net gain of 40, were right down the middle — mainstream hold-the-center victories.”

Pelosi added that the message of Democrats should focus on working families and health care.
“What we're saying is to have a message that appeals to people in a way that does not menace them that really does address their concerns
when we win, and we have the White House and we have that, then we can expand our exuberances to some, other things,
but our message our progressive message is down the middle, but it is, again, addressing the concerns of America's working families,” Pelosi said.

“But when we have to go into the districts that we have to win,
we have to call that which we have the most in common with those people.
Not compromising our values or principles, not even changing our message.
Just taking a piece of the message as we go forward.”

Women are on the cusp of becoming the most powerful force in America. But to fundamentally transform this country, we need to work together. That’s where Supermajority comes in.
LET’S GET ORGANIZED
We’re building an inclusive, national membership of women who are connected, empowered, and taking action—from increasing their level of civic engagement and advocacy to voting in record numbers.
If we can build women’s collective power in this moment, we can lift up an agenda that addresses our needs and hold candidates and elected officials accountable. ... "

"Postcards to Voters are friendly, handwritten reminders from volunteers to targeted voters giving Democrats a winning edge in close, key races coast to coast.
What started on March 11, 2017 with sharing 5 addresses apiece to 5 volunteers on Facebook...
Now, we consist of over 20,000+ volunteers in every state (including Alaska and Hawaii) who have written close to 3 million postcards to voters in over 100+ key, close elections."

Organizing for America and the Democratic National Redistricting Committee have merged:
The former president’s activist group Organizing for Action has folded into a fight to end gerrymandering."\
On Thursday he announced that the progressive Organizing for Action group, which formed out of the pieces of Obama’s re-election campaign, would be folded into the National Democratic Redistricting Committee.
In a Medium post, Obama called gerrymandered maps “undemocratic” and “unrepresentative,” saying they have “too often stood in the way of change.”
... The merger will create a “joint force focused on this issue of singular importance,” Obama said, per The Atlantic. ... "

"PREAMBLE We, the Democrats of the United States of America, united in common purpose, hereby rededicate ourselves to the principles which have historically sustained our Party. Recognizing that the vitality of the Nation's political institutions has been the foundation of its enduring strength, we acknowledge that a political party which wishes to lead must listen to those it would lead, a party which asks for the people's trust must prove that it trusts the people and a party which hopes to call forth the best the Nation can achieve must embody the best of the Nation's heritage and traditions.
