Hint: maybe don’t call a country’s people “rapists” and “murderers” before meeting with their president.

Donald Trump made his first foray into international diplomacy yesterday” (actually 8.31_ish) “(hosting Miss Universe pageants abroad doesn’t count), and he completely embarrassed himself.

After months of promising to “build a big, beautiful wall” and “make Mexico pay for it,” the self-proclaimed dealmaker finally had a chance to make good on his offensive campaign promise when he sat down with Mexico’s president. But Trump left his meeting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto empty handed. And then, he lied about it.

Trump demonstrated yesterday something that Hillary—and anyone with foreign policy experience—already knows: diplomacy isn’t as easy as it looks. Trump could learn a lot from Hillary’s record as secretary of state, including: ...”
