#StrongerTogether ! Top Five on My 2016-2017 Democratic Holiday Wish List...

Focused Read 2 minutes

Top Five on My Democratic Holiday Wish List:

5

A viral Tweet for Democrats that reminds to go the source for information as often as they can to be the most informed they can be.

Over the next four years that is going to mean connecting to your representatives and/or watching hearings live or on video where you really get to see and to hear who they are and what they think.

4

Inspiration for Democrats to become more civics literate and to understand how systems work in a Republic and how systems work in a Party.

Making informed decisions in a representative government is critical as systems are only as good as those who run them and in a government and in a party that would be US doing the voting, creating the agreed to Platform and working together to win elections for like-minded candidates.

3

Motivation for Democrats to understand the Electoral College (as an example) does not mean Americans do not vote for president.

In a representative government it all begins at the local level with party membership, with votes for delegates and electoral college members and votes in caucuses and in primaries for a nominee for president, with the Electoral College ratifying the election or not -- depending on circumstances.

2

Desire for Democrats to learn the basics of American constitutional history.

If the foundation of of our values and our principles as one nation are not understood in the context of our Founders intention #BigLies are much easier to tell and to spread and outcomes based on lies can never be good.

1

Peace, Wisdom, Strength, Good Health and Patience for Democrats who will need them all as we move forward and not back!
